WOW! it can recognize what you drink!

"Serbian designer Damjan Stanković has invented an unusual drinking glass called Cipher, which recognizes drinks. Pixels on the glass change their color depending on whether there poured a drink. Differently colored shapes are scattered across the glass surface in a seemingly random pattern, however their position is hardly accidental. And if you pour a glass of milk, juice, coca-cola or coffee, it appears appropriate inscription. Clever idea!"

Happy design - Cupman

Eating instant noodles means...
1. I'm damn busy that i have only 5 minutes of my meal.
2. I'm so lonely that no one cook me a nice meal.
3. I'm so lazy that I hate preparing so many thing for a meal.

Normally, Eating instant noodles makes me feel negative.
But, this little "cupman" makes it feel different today!

Thermochromics wall

What a lovely design!
From Elisa Strozyk again!

" Thermochromics translate a temperature- change into a colour-change. I investigated the question how this effect can be used to make the changing temperature of radiators visible at the radiator itself and on the surrounding wallpaper.
I am also thinking about the radiator as an everyday object. It is just functional and mostly not decorative. Why not integrating the radiator in the interior decoration?
Through the colourchange of the patterns it is told that the radiator is turned on or off.
It could be that if we can see heat appearring in a visual manner, that these makes us freeze less. Also the colour of the pattern could remind us of turning the radiator down when we leave the house. "

Molecular Cuisine

When a piece of wood no longer a piece of wood,
it feels like fabric or even fluid?
Please take a look on the creative design by Elisa Strozyk.

"
... The wooden textile intends to look at the new ways wood can be manipulated from its hard physical property to a fluid form when combined with fabric. Providing flexibility to wood allows us to connect with it in new ways. Utilizing wood veneers once considered waste and re-purposing them through hand and laser cut isosceles, she is able to leverage the hard properties of wood and give them a fluid framework to create an innovative textile. Her process gives the textile strength and flexibility..."

Happy design

For my past few years, I have been working on so many designs that made me feel angry, upset and disappointed. I don't know whether it is the matter of my work quality, the whole industry atmosphere or anything else...? Anyway, it does upset me! I worked like a clean lady at office that I worked very hard without soul. "Design makes me money only!" in these years...
So sad...

In 2010, I do hope that I can back to the day that "Design makes me happy".
So, the first sharing here in 2010 is something look very very happy and cute!
The colorful work from "Friend with you - fwy".
