Wojciech Nowak and Martynika Bielawska: Spectator Stand

This bright green pavilion by Polish students Wojciech Nowak and Martynika Bielawska provides spectator stands for a football pitch and a basketball court in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

The rectangular green pavilion frames two sets of cascading staircases, allowing spectators to face either direction.

Andrea Palladio construction game

On the occasion of the exhibition for the 500th anniversary of the birth of Andrea Palladio, the CISA (Centre for International Studies of Architecture Andrea Palladio) presented the “Gioco della Villa”, a refined collectors construction game (the pieces are in ceramics) that illustrates the striking Palladian design modularity, based on an idea of Howard Burns, developed by Mauro Zocchetta with the art direction of CibicWorkshop.

Droog hotel

Around the corner from flagship store Droog at Home in Amsterdam will soon be Home at Droog, a 10-room member-only hotel, concept restaurant and exhibition space designed by Tokyo-based Atelier Bow-Wow.
Leaving the canal-facing front façade intact, Atelier Bow-Wow created an intricate inner courtyard façade inspired by Amsterdam's historic architecture. The hotel restaurant will host new concept dinners by invited designers and chefs, improvising with local market left-overs and practicing the act of eating slowly yet attentively. The street level will house an on-going program of Droog exhibitions and events.
