Happy Mother's Day

Art co-operation between Grace Lau and her sons, Ivan and Julian.
An exhibition themed "monsters" has been taken part in Hong Kong last February.
More than 10 monsters have been showed.

With the great passion of Grace Lau, a crazy mom, she keep helping her sons to exhibit their works every year. From Hong Kong Polytechnic University to Artland Gallery, those kids have exhibited more than 40 works till now. By following those art pieces, you can feel the love among the kids and their mother, and also, you can understand what's influencing Hong Kong teenagers.

Good Design for Developing Countries - Jose Collection

"Jose Collection is a family of storage furniture pieces produced out of materials and processes that achieve a more responsible environmental impact. With previous experiences in design research and academia, his approach to the collection analyzes the product's life cycle. The urban landscape produces plenty of material that goes overlooked and underused; Arruda was able to see the opportunity to such urban norm. By combining an archetype with available plastic containers, he was able to create a transitory object that speaks to different levels- cultural and environmental..." from www.yatzer.com


About Mauricio Arruda:
Mauricio Arruda graduated at the Architecture and Urban Planning State University of Londrina, Paraná, Brazil (Universidade Estadual de Londrina/UEL) in 1997 and was granted a master degree at Sao Carlos State University in 2000. Mauricio has participated as a Latin America fellow-author at the creation of the Agenda 21 for Sustainable Construction in Developing Countries and has conducted several researches in the residential and environmental fields. Interior Design professor since 2001, has lectured in many Brazilian educational institutions, i.e. SENAC, Escola Panamericana de Arte. Currently teaching at the IED Brazilian branch – Instituto Europeo di Design. As a professional architect Arruda develops and manages projects for residential and commercial spaces as well as product design. Along with former university colleagues Guto Requena and Tatiana Sakurai Mauricio created the creative collective WHYDESIGN.
