"Born and raised in northern California, Cameron Kelly highlights the irony between man and nature in her objects and interventions. Her carefully tailored, often awkward sculptures, where essentials of human comfort and style are imposed on artifacts from the natural world. The recipients of her meticulous labor remain indifferent objects, yielding no signs of protest or approval in response to her unsolicited care. Kelly was the inaugural artist in residence at the JB Blunk Residency, and has had exhibitions at Kunst Verein Rheinlan-Falz, and the Akademie für Bildende Künste, Germany, FIVEten Studio in Oakland, and Reform Gallery in Los Angeles. She is a recent MFA graduate from the California College of the Arts in the San Francisco bay area."
